How to Mass Add and Remove Materials from Styles

Have a new material that you need to add to a lot of styles? Or maybe you need to remove a material from from a lot of styles? In that case, we’ve got a Mass Add/Remove feature for materials that will save you a lot of time.

Mass Adding Materials to Style BOMs

Navigate to the material that you’d like to mass add to styles and follow these steps:

  1. Click on the Material Where Used app in the left-hand menu of your style.

  2. On the right-hand menu, click on the Mass Add button.

  3. Next, you’ll need to click on the Advanced Search icon and select a Style Type from the dropdown. This step is necessary because different style types can have different BOM Apps installed, so BeProduct needs to narrow down the styles that you’d like to add the material to.

  4. Once you select a style type (and any other search criteria) in the Advanced Search panel, close it and you will see a menu of the available BOM Pages for the given style type.

  5. Select the pages that you’d like to add your material to using the checkboxes, then at the bottom of the right-hand panel, click the Add button. That’s it!

Note that you can Mass Remove materials in the same way that you Mass Add by simply clicking the Mass Remove button in step 2. The key thing to remember is that you will need to open the Advanced Search panel and select a style type in order to see the BOMs that you can remove the material from.
